OK...So You Made It This Far...

And you are thinking...where is the great big surprise???

Well, believe it or not, you already passed it.  It was in the section on trading cards.  Here is the story:

In 1996, an Australian Company called "Tempo" released a set of Simpsons Trading Cards.  There was a special super rare redemption chase card called the "Bartarang".  The cards were only inserted in 1:9000 packs on average and only 50 cards were made total.  If you were lucky enough to find one of these cards, you could mail it in to Tempo and they would send you the "Bartarang" which was a Boomerang that was hand painted with a Simpsons motif.  Supposedly, each one was painted when the card came in.

As if this wasn't rare enough, the company ended up going out of business before all of the Bartarang Redemption Cards could be redeemed. As a result, there are fewer than 50 Bartarangs in existence but no one knows exactly how many were made. It is thought that there are around 25 of them and 25 unredeemed cards. 

Most people do not even know about this rare Simpsons collectible and of those that do, most have never seen one.
